This unknown gem was published after the main story of this Marvel Super Special 10, a Star-Lord aventure. Marvel Super Special was at that time published in magazine format, giving more space than usual to Ernie to expand his skills on the page.
This story begins as a science-fiction space expedition story and switch to heroic fantasy, as soon as the hero lands on a dangerous planet and loose his clothes, à la John Carter Warlord of Mars. The story reminds us of Blackmark, the fabulous Gil Kane graphic novel.... there are worse comparaisons, don't you think?
The only letdown is the coloring, sometimes really yellowis or monochromatic blue. All speed us really fast at the end but it would really be a waste to not purchased this enjoyable story, made even more enjoyable thanks to the barechest charisma of its hero.
