This one is really unique and proves, if it still had to be, that Ernie is one of the most versatile artist ever. We are in the early 2000's and the big publishers are either not interested in what Ernie has to offer or do not know him (the lack of comics culture of some editors of the 2000's is sometimes frightening).
At the time this project was done for Eros Comics (a branch of Fantagraphics), Ernie was working as a night shift security guard. If Strip Search deserve for sure to be under this Eros Imprint, it has some scarce qualities: no only is there a story, but it's fun!
So don't expect to be aroused by the nudity of its characters, expect instead to be blown away with laught and amazement at Ernie audacious drawings. It's quality porn (I would almost say, as a french not easily offended by sex, quality erotism).
I'm really not into this kind of comics, yet I really enjoyed a lot Strip search and would easily recommand it, as long as you are not easily offended by sex or nudity.
