Convert is the first short story Ernie produced for the launch of Epic Illustrated, Marvel's own Heavy Metal magazine with adult material. Ernie would come back for the second issue and then never been seen again in those pages. Such a pity because Convert is a visceral piece of irony and truth about colonialism. Ernie's visual depiction of the monk and the local shaman are very detailed and colorfull.
