Third story of the horror anthology Inner Sanctum, The Horla has almost nothing to do with the famous Maupassant's novel.
Maupassant's Horla is a litterature masterpiece so it's gonna be difficult to be fair with this one if you have ever read the novel. No matter what, you will agree that the two splash pages with monsters are amazing, and that one sequence is also breathtaking, showing a king of freaky Rio festival. Those panels really stand out among a story otherwise economic in the way it is depicted, using a lot of plain heavy blacks.
