This issue marks a real improvment for Ernie's fans as Ernie offer to us one of the best cover of the serie: the fact that he's inking himself is probably no strange to that! Inside, Bob Smith is inking, which is good news also: instead of an heavy inking, making Ernie style disappear, we have a very soft inking, adding nothing more, giving to this issue a much lighter touch than the previous one. Everything looks more dynamic and some exagerrated faces appear here and there, giving a more edgy look to the serie.
It suits this issue story perfectly, as we are surrounded by a weird crowd of giant albinos! there is also a tiger reminding us of the tiger on which Amethyst and Carnelian where riding in Amethyst Princess of Gemworld Ltd N°2!
And we also have so daring camera angles like this one, all of this making this issue of my favorite from Ernie tenure on the title. The story is shorter than usual to make place for a back-up called The Viking Prince, by Robert Kanigher and Jan Duursema.
